Occasional Care
About Occasional Care
Occasional Care provides support families who may not be accessing other forms of childcare, kindy, or family day care. It enables parents/caregivers to participate in activities, fulfil work commitments, keep appointments, or have a break without committing to long day care arrangements.
Occasional Care offers 3 hours sessions, once a week during term time and are integrated into our kindy sessions. Children in Occasional Care have opportunities to play inside and outside, have snack and join in group time. This provides opportunities for children to develop secure and trusting relationships, build social skills and develop language skills through a play-based learning environment.
This is a great opportunity to introduce care outside of the family unit in a relaxed, nurturing, and caring environment. Our afternoon Occasional Care sessions make a wonderful extended transition to kindy for children, especially those who need that bit of extra time and care to adjust to new environments.
To enrol in our Occasional Care, children must three years old and to be immunised and provide a statement from the Australian Immunisation Register. Children who are attending childcare are unable to access Occasional care.
Occasional Care Times
Children generally can attend 1 three hour session a week. Families can complete a registration of interest for Occasional Care. Our team will then connect with families to discuss the next steps.
